Most projects that are going down the drain are unnecessarily complex. Salvage begins with the task of reducing the scope of the project in order to put the construction of essential modules back on schedule.
When I was a systems integrator a long time ago I thought I'd publish a desk calendar with a new project management aphorism for every day of the year. But it turned out I only knew 148 things worth saying about project management. A friend suggested I fill in the blanks with recipes and jokes. That was before we knew about cat and dog photos. Does anyone even know what a desk calendar is anymore?
