The closer you get to the end of the project, the more accurate your estimates to complete will become. Make an effort to understand why.

When I was a systems integrator a long time ago I thought I'd publish a desk calendar with a new project management aphorism for every day of the year. But it turned out I only knew 148 things worth saying about project management. A friend suggested I fill in the blanks with recipes and jokes. That was before we knew about cat and dog photos. Does anyone even know what a desk calendar is anymore?
